‘Tis the season to send out special greetings to clients wishing them good cheer for the holidays. As part of our dedication to reducing the carbon footprint, Studio 2055 designs and sends out e-cards for many of our clients. Here’s a few suggestions when planning your message:
1. Make it friendly and personal: “Hi Nancy” (use your client’s name). 2. Don’t make it a promotional piece for your business. 3. Customize the card to your brand. Don’t use a generic off-the-Internet design. 4. Make the images the focus, just like a traditional card. 5. Purchase rights to any non-royalty free music and images. 6. Review and clean up your email list. 7. Utilize a reliable e-mail service such as Emma or Constant Contact. 8. Publish early. 9. Comply with SPAM laws. 10. Don’t skimp on the graphic design. What you’ll save in printing and mail, spend by using with a good graphic designer. 11. Less is more. Minimize the words. 12. E-cards are good for the environment. For ID Studios, we were able to focus the greeting on seasonal memories and seamlessly reveal their brand.
