Recently, Google worked with IPOS, an independent research firm, to analyze the online strength of local small businesses in cities of all 50 states to determine the leading cities in the digital economy. Our town Carlsbad was chosen as the ‘Digital Capital’ of California.
As an entrepreneur and small business owner in Carlsbad, the award directly recognized our strong engagement with the digital economy. The research measured small businesses who have a website with mobile-friendly features, use a blog, promote themselves on a social network and sell goods directly from their Web pages.
Our Studio knows the digital landscape. Our capabilities provide design and development to businesses looking for a robust online presence. We’re thrilled Carlsbad was recognized for this award. There is so much entrepreneurial spirit and it reflects Carlsbad’s digital know-how.
I’m very involved as a committee member for the Carlsbad Chamber of Commerce’s Technology Advisory Committee where I speak on content marketing and stay current with digital trends.
On Google’s site, it states “Across the country, businesses that are online expect to grow 40% faster.” That’s great news for our city!
