When we first began collaborating with Lionshead Studios, I was so impressed with not only the quality of their photography but the quantity as well. The studio’s amazing photo/video facility, with the largest cove in San Diego, literally had hundreds of adidas shoes and shirts styled ready for photography. A lot of products. Patrick [Vaughn] was at his workstation, with a pinpoint focus on the screen, and the entire staff was hard at work getting the shots done for the next adidas catalog.
I’ve known Pat Boemer, president and senior photographer at Lionshead, for many years. Coincidentally, he married a client of mine whom I had introduced during a photo shoot. (They’re still married.) So when his company wanted to expand their market reach and target advertising agencies and more corporate clients, we got together and talked about how our Studio could help.
We began the project with our Brand Quest™ that quickly got to the core of the company’s brand position, points-of-difference, services and attributes. This gave us the insight to write content for the website (keep it short they said, and the design clean!). We simplified the UX/UI to give their clients what they want—a clear vision of Lionshead’s portfolio, their creativity, attention to detail and retouching expertise.
