Our new intern, Elizabeth Coyne, brings nearly two decades working as an art director for GIA along with a strong print background working with RR Donnelley as an account manager. One day she realized, “I want to do more design. I need to get back to my roots.”
She discovered her love for art and design when she was in elementary school. Later, she spent years drawing, painting, doing crafts and working with ceramics. She was introduced to photography, taking photographs and working in the darkroom. In a media studies class, Elizabeth was spellbound by graphic design. “I’m fascinated by how words and images work together to convey messages, and I love seeing ideas come to life,” she enthused. Elizabeth received a BA in Communications at Hampshire College, and when not working, she enjoys cooking, listening to music, working out and practicing Goju Ryu karate.
