For the past six years, Comet Creative has partnered with San Diego-based Job Options, Inc. for their business development and marketing initiatives. The studio completed the 2012 annual report, celebrating their twenty-fifth anniversary. The report commemorates Job Options’ accomplishments, growth and mission to support employment for mentally and physically disabled adults in the community.

For Job Options, the annual report serves not only as a financial summary for the fiscal year but also as the primary marketing brochure for the sales team. To position the report for both investors and sales, the studio went beyond just showing numbers and content.
Photography Illuminates Employee Spirit
The annual report highlights the company’s twenty-fifth anniversary by featuring photography and stories of profiled employees that reflect the Job Options’ spirit. The subjects had portrait photos taken, along with on-the-job candid shots by Comet Creative photographer Richard Dowdy.
“After meeting the two people profiled, along with their loved ones, I got a deeper sense of the worth of Job Options’ intent in fulfilling people’s aspirations and ability to overcome handicaps,” said Richard. “Through the years I’ve met employees who have been unable to find meaningful employment, until they found Job Options. The change in their lives has been significant. They work hard, enjoy benefits and a lifestyle they would not have achieved without Job Options’ programs.”
The images not only provide a “human face” to their stories, but also help illuminate the report and create more reader interest.
