A Trip for Celebration, Learning and Inspiration
Kevin Bong, Studio 2055’s intern, has thoughtful plans to launch his graphic design career. A recent SDSU graduate, Kevin is celebrating by taking a learning and inspirational trip to Thailand and Singapore.
“When I get back, I’ll have my two internships and new experiences from my trip to help me find a position in graphic design. I’ll be exploding with creativity,” shares Kevin.
This spring, Kevin earned his Bachelor’s in Art degree with an emphasis in Graphic Design. His plans are to find a job working amongst people with a similar direction and are moving toward goals he also shares. “Eventually, I want to get into designing for a good cause. I’m trying to decide what’s best for me,” explains Kevin.
The vacation trip plans, booked through STA Travel, will group Kevin and 20 people from around the world for a tour of Thailand. The first leg will be the “The Hike, Bike and Kayak Tour.” Ending in Bangkok, it will re-route in southern Thailand to visit the beaches. Kevin is looking forward to observe how another part of the world operates and to see things from a different perspective. Having grown up in Hawaii, he’s excited to see the beaches, explore the country and eat Thai food.
From Thailand, he’ll fly to Singapore for a week to visit classmates he met while at SDSU who were in a foreign exchange program. He plans to see their schools, tour with them and see what the graphic design industry is like in Singapore. His uncle and two cousins also live there, so he’s looking forward to an amazing experience.
What will he pack? Sketch pad, journal and camera.
Kevin is tremendously talented and has a strong portfolio of professional work to show. At Studio 2055, he has contributed his expertise and creativity from conception to final design on numerous projects. Best of all, he is a team player, ambitious and ready to take on any design project.
