This summer we are welcoming our new intern, Brittany Heyen, all the way from Illinois! Brittany is a rising senior at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, double majoring in Graphic Design and Photography. She came to California with her skateboard looking for a change of scenery and a new perspective on design.
I’m ready to trade my cornfields for some ocean waves (and In-N-Out)!
When she’s not cruising around on four wheels, she can be found laughing with friends, petting a dog somewhere, or exploring new places and trying interesting foods. “When I go out to eat, I end up looking at the menu for its design before actually using it to decide what to order! I can’t go anywhere without seeing the world from a designer’s perspective, and I’m always on the hunt for good lighting.”
Brittany’s passions have led her in many directions, designing everything from web pages and print materials to marketing collateral and illustration. She also does videography and uses After Effects to animate her designs.
I’m excited to share my talents with Comet Creative this summer and soak up some great West Coast design experience and sunshine.
