Many architects and owners feel restricted when reducing a building’s energy use. They are uninformed about how to get to Zero Net Energy through innovative design practices. This campaign educated the target audience on the benefits, processes and results of ZNE, leading users to take action to implement energy efficiencies. We produced two ZNE case studies delivered through inbound marketing campaigns and other support tactics.

Project Outcomes | RESULTS

The Brummitt Energy won a total of five awards, seven speaking engagements, 26 new projects, three proposals, 132 case study downloads. The County of San Diego hired them for energy modeling, with the county receiving a USGBC Leadership Award for Brummitt’s Portfolio Plan.

Strategy

Because of California’s mandates for ZNE requirements, the timing was perfect to educate the benefits and value of ZNE. Through a series of case studies, promoted via inbound marketing campaigns, we clearly communicated Brummitt Energy’s processes and results.

Through campaigns that educated the target audience, the firm’s principal Beth Brummitt was invited to speak at seven different events resulting in new projects and proposals, including the County of San Diego’s massive energy modeling study for all its existing buildings.
