The Gemological Institute of America (GIA) is the world’s leading authority on gemology. Gems & Gemology is a 100-page quarterly scientific publication that is distributed internationally. Comet Creative designed and produced iPad and print publication versions. The studio gave the publication a facelift designing new section headers, updating typography varying the cover designs to better fit the lead editorial.

Gems & Gemology was awarded the prestigious 2010 Gold Ink Award, the highest recognition for printing and publication design. Comet Creative art directed all publication specifications while working closely with the printer, Allen Press.
