Last Friday, on October 18th, we were exhibitors at the 2019 San Diego Green Building Conference & Expo held at the Courtyard Marriott at Liberty Station. There was a huge turnout with more that 300 attendees! Sustainability leaders in the built industry heard from thought leaders on climate science and sustainable design practices. Everyone had plenty of time to talk with friends and colleagues, and meet new industry professionals who are bringing new ideas and solutions to this growing industry.
Dr. Veerabhadran Ramanathan gave us some grave facts about climate change. On the flip side he presented how leaders around the world are taking action to curtail the effects of carbon emissions. Dr. Ramanathan works for Scripps Institution of Oceanography as director of the Center for Atmospheric Sciences. Check out his TEDX Talk.
At our Comet Creative booth, attendees received tips to help our planet (printed on plantable wildflower seed paper!), snapped photos with our green-inspired Instagram props and entered to win a free archetype study.
The BEST part of the conference was being engaged with a community that strives to make a positive impact and leave the world a better place for future generations.
