Spring is here and we’re relieved that we’ve all sprung forward to have brighter evenings and warmer days. Although our external movements are limited, we’re working together to help our customers find their true north.
A More Human Brand That Makes Deeper Connections
PCH Architects, a thirty-year old Redlands firm, has new leadership and wanted to refocus on the company’s future. With this change, we helped the company redefine its positioning, purpose and values, creating fresh new communications to tell a more human story.
More often our society is creating disconnections between one another even in our hyper-connected world. Today, we know people need and desire to make deeper connections with each other. And that’s what we do at PCH Architects.

Following the brand positioning, we designed the visual brand by designing a new logo, stationery, social media graphics and style guide. The straight and curved lines in their logo represent architectural rendering motifs and are used as graphic elements. The “H” in the logo emulates Spanish Revival, a style found throughout Redlands, and an architectural feature that the architects use in projects.
The vibrant orange and purple colors represent PCH Architects’ positive and renewed enthusiasm for the firm’s future and the design they do for their clients.

San Dieguito Engineering Gets a Site Revamp
Repositioning a Legacy Civil Engineering Company
For over 40 years, the civil engineering firm San Dieguito Engineering (SDE) has been serving the San Diego region, covering more than 30,000 acres of land, to build safe and vibrant communities that we live in. We are happy to have had the opportunity to work with them on their new website design.
Their previous website was in need of a refresh. The technology was quite dated and their content didn’t differentiate them from other civil engineering companies. They didn’t have a project section to showcase their work and in the absence of a blog page to host their news, they did not have their SEO in check.
We began with a scoping project. This helps the client and us to understand the wants and needs of the project. For the scoping phase we deliver:
- A complete site map
- UX and UI
- Content outline aligns with the site map
- Photography shot list
- Technology requirements
- Time commitment, schedule, budget
- Project management process
The project included content development, design and programming. With the addition of the news and blog section, they will be able to increase their web presence and offer their expertise to their clients.
You can see the new look and learn about their engineering services by visiting their site at sdeinc.com.
