Taylor Schultz, our recently hired graphic designer, completed a logo project at the studio for a new nonprofit organization based in Carlsbad and earned some genuine smiles of appreciation.
Melanie Garrett, founder of the new nonprofit organization Leave it to Angels shares: “We want to make a difference in the lives of single mothers who are seeking to get themselves back on track from unfortunate circumstances that have led to serious financial or health troubles.”
Ms. Garrett is a woman who has firsthand experience in the hardships of starting over. She found herself a victim of fraud, which eventually led to depression, and later on even worse health problems. She now wants to “pay it forward” by giving back to other females in financial and emotional trouble. Leave it to Angels will serve clients throughout Carlsbad and San Diego.
“We’re grateful for the new logo and excited to be providing educational and financial assistance to mothers who have contributed to society,” says Ms. Garrett.
Studio 2055’s principal, Nanette Newbry, adds “Oftentimes, organizations can become stalled in their efforts to commence visionary projects that would benefit the community. To aid in their efforts, we offer design grants. They are often awarded to organizations based on community need, benefits derived and the project feasibility.”
Studio 2055’s design grant program is geared toward helping organizations create design solutions that allow projects to be realized. The program is mainly – though not limited to – nonprofit organizations within San Diego. We cover a wide range of services typically needed during the early stages of a project. These include brand consultation, architectural, environmental and general graphic design.
Applications are currently being accepted for the 2014 year. Contact Studio 2055 at (760)729-8205 or [email protected] for more information.
