Spring is upon us and with it comes a flurry of trade shows. Whether you are launching a new product or increasing visibility within your industry, trade shows offer a forum to meet the most influential people in your industry. Gathered together in the same place at the same time, you can meet a lot of interested people and market your products or service to a wide audience in just a few days.
Studio 2055‘s client, B&H Tool Company, world leader in plastic extrusion tooling, plans to exhibit at MedTech World MD&M West in Anaheim to announce additions in leadership and expanded technologies.
When creating a trade show booth, consider the following:
- Type of Display: First, choose what type of display you need. From easy pull-up banners to custom modular displays, price, storage and set-up usually drive this decision. Prices range from $150 to $5,000 for pop-ups and go to double and triple digits for custom displays.
- Design of Display: Second, determine the design. Consider how big the show facility is, how many people will be in the aisles and what you have to offer. There is a lot to compete with–colors, lights, crowds, gimmicks and noise. To pull attendees into your booth, bold colors, eye-catching graphics, simple use of text, professional photos and a branded message are keys to catching a prospect’s attention.
- Collateral for Display: Finally, create corresponding marketing collateral to distribute. If you are announcing a new product or service, make it known. Print a special postcard or brochure with key takeaways and contact information. Collateral that shares the same look as your booth reinforces your brand and ultimately boosts your sales efforts.
For B&H Tool Company, the goal of the booth design was to stand out amongst distractions and competition. By boldly displaying their product with a professional photograph, using strong graphics and dark contrasting colors, valuable prospects were attracted to the booth. Promotional postcards, brochures and business cards were also created. The new collateral featured the same photos, graphics and colors as well as key messaging, calls-to-action and contact information. After recently exhibiting at a national trade show, leads were generated and new product awareness now saturates their market.
